When I received this skirt, I also felt it was a little bulky. After hanging the skirt, it fell out quite a bit. I wore it with many of my BP tops and I constantly get compliments on it when I wear it.
I've stored it away for the winter, but cannot wait to wear it on my upcoming cruise. If this is a little house on .... skirt, than It must be a hot new show;) Get it before it's gone forever. You'll regret it!
I was so excited to be able to grab this skirt on clearance, especially after reading the first review. When I received it, it wasn't at all what I expected. I expected it to be made of a light and airy cotton. Be forewarned; this skirt is not for wear in Summertime in hot and humid FL! It is VERY heavy, which I noticed immediate, before even opening the package.
It is of very good quality, and comfortable, but bulky (especially the elastic waist, which is very thick, due to the heavy fabric being wrapped around it). Also, if you are not "hippy", this skirt will not be fitted on you (I even went with the XS, though I am usually a S in BP skirts). I felt as if I were on an episode of "Little House on the Prairie" in this. It is very sweet, but not as fitted/sassy as I like. I did, however, really like the unique "peek-a-boo" crochet cut-outs (which did help keep me cool while trying the skirt on, as you will feel a breeze through the skirt. . .very cool!). If you are short like me (5'2"), you will not need to worry about undergarments (as first cut-out is at around knee-length). If you are taller, however, I can see where this may be a concern.
Despite all of the above, I really did like the skirt (and was tempted to keep it), but have not use for it in hot and humid FL. I would have to wait until the cooler weather in November, at which time I won't want to wear white! Therefore, it's going back :-(.
I'm a big fan of the bohemian fashion trend--especially long summer skirts like this one! I also ordered the BP quattro concha belt and the BP white tank in the picture. It makes a gorgeous outfit. I figured the belt would draw the attention, but what I get the most compliments on is the skirt. It's of a very light material, perfect for summer but a little see-through and add to that the peek-a-boo openwork crochet panels and you have to be careful to wear the proper undergarments and not let the skirt ride up.
The length is perfect on me--not too long or too short, and I'm 5'5", if that helps. What I noticed most of all about this skirt was how well it fit me. I have more of an hourglass figure and for me elastic waist skirts tend to be too loose in the waist and too tight through the hips. But this one is different--it fits perfectly and it's so figure flattering--I love it!

I'm 5'5", and this skirt is very long on me. When I stand, it's definitely all the way down to my ankles, maybe even a little bit past that. Since you're a few inches taller than me, I'm sure it would probably be ankle-length on you. And whether it's ankle-length or longer, because of the flared silhouette, it's flattering either way. I hope this helps! :)

How long is the skirt, actually? Is it down to your ankles? I'm asking because I'm 5'8" and it's hard for me to find a skirt long enough... : )
